WHAT IT CAN DO FOR YOU

Herbalists have time to really listen and discuss your problems, they are not limited to seven minutes as some    over-worked GPs are.

Herbalists take a holistic view of illness. The underlying imbalance in the body as a whole is sought and it is this that is treated not the symptoms alone.

Western Herbal remedies are British, European and North American plants. They are gentle but very effective and have very few side effects unlike conventional drugs. They may take longer to act as they work to restore the balance of the body enabling it to heal it's self from within.

Prescriptions are tailored for each individual.
It is the person that is treated not the disease.
So although certain herbs have an affinity for particular organs or systems of the body, it is very unlikely that any two people will ever receive the same prescription or dosage.

Western Herbal Medicine can also be used to help prevent illness by strengthening and balancing  the body and mind so that health is naturally maintained.

Examples of the range of conditions that Western herbs may support patients in the managements of are given below:

Skin problems: such as psoriasis, acne and eczema.

Digestive disorders: such as, constipation, IBS and indigestion.

Infections: Coughs, colds and flu.

Joints and muscles: osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia.

Gynecological disorders: such as premenstrual syndrome, menopausal problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome, thrush, endometriosis  and some forms of infertility.
